How long is a class?

Most sessions run about one to two hours. Shorter workshops are around an hour, while the paint and glow classes run about two hours. The exact time is listed on each class page when you browse our classes.

What age can children join?

Children are welcome at many of our classes, often from around four or five years old depending on the session. Families create side by side, so it works as an outing for all ages. Check the class page for any age notes.

Do I need to book in advance?

Yes. Seats and supplies are set per person and classes have limited space, so please book ahead to secure your spot. Walk-ins cannot be guaranteed, especially on weekends.

Can I share a canvas with my child?

Yes. You can share a frame and create together, which is a lovely way to make something as a team. Let us know when you book and we will set you up for it.

What if I have no art experience?

No problem at all. Every class is built for beginners and led step by step by a studio artist, so you follow along rather than start from a blank page. Most guests have never painted before.

What should I wear?

Something casual you do not mind getting a little paint on. We provide aprons, and in our glow classes light or white clothing looks great under the blacklight.

Where are you, and how do I get there?

We are at 10-40 45th Ave #3F, Long Island City, NY 11101, on the third floor with stair access and no elevator. We are near the Court Square and Vernon Boulevard stations on the E, M, G, and 7. See the Long Island City studio page for hours and directions.

Can I bring drinks, or are they included?

It depends on the class. Several are BYOB friendly for guests 21 and over, and the Sip and Paint in the Dark sessions include a drink. Check the class you want for its policy, and confirm any building rules for beer or wine.

Do you host private parties and group events?

Yes. We host birthday parties and team events, along with bachelorette parties and other group bookings. Reach out with your date and headcount and we will plan it.

Do I take my art home?

Yes. You leave the same day with what you made. Glow canvases, bears, and slime are packaged so they travel home safely.
